The Lady Horologist

Inspiration from Vintage styles.

Heated Copper

Heated CopperA lovely example of how you can achieve metallic finishes without using metal. When I first discovered heating copper to get multicolored changes, I experimented with the stove top and eventually bought a torch. I loved the colors and the marbled effect the heat made. I later found out you can cook copper in the oven for getting particular instead of marbling. In this particular piece however Shelly achieved the beautiful color variations without all the hassle by using foil and painting the Sculpey. Masterfully done.
