Filigree Clematis

Filigree ClematisIf Shelly hasn’t already named a piece I go ahead and give it a name. Now with the more floral pieces I try to tie in the flowers the resemble. Sometimes this is a little hard since I’m limited on my names of flowers, and it’s a lot harder than I thought to identify flowers by petals. I do enjoy getting to research all different kinds of flowers, and seeing names I’d never known before. This particular piece was hard to pin point. A lot of flowers it looked close to didn’t have the same amount of petals. I’m a bit of a stickler, though I was willing to compromise if it looked really close. Then I came across an African Clematis. A beautiful flower that can have more petals and sometimes has a smaller center, but to me it just clicked.
